CME Associates, Inc. seeks a Construction Special Inspector to perform essential inspections and material testing for high-profile commercial projects in the Greater Buffalo area.

This role supports geotechnical and construction materials evaluation, with responsibilities spanning field testing, reporting, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. The position requires an HS Diploma, a Civil Engineering/Geology-related degree if available, relevant ICC/ACI credentials, and a valid

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• Degree in Civil Engineering / Technology, Geology, or related is ideal, although necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and inspections for soils, concrete, asphalt, reinforced concrete, masonry, and related elements.
• Read drawings and specifications and interpret test results accurately.
• Record and report test results clearly and concisely.
• Communicate regularly with project managers.
• Complete field data records and associated reports daily.
• Prepare for and complete continuing education for certifications (ACI, ICC).
