Job summary

CME Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Special Inspector to perform field tests and inspections on major commercial projects in the Greater Buffalo, NY area.

The role focuses on soils, concrete, asphalt, welding, and geotechnical investigations, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and timely reporting. Applicants should have an HS diploma, a civil engineering/geology related degree preferred, ICC certifications or ACI Grade 1, and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and inspections for soils, concrete, asphalt, reinforced concrete, masonry, welding & bolting, fireproofing & firestopping, geotechnical investigations, and more.
• Read construction drawings and specifications and correctly interpret test results
• Record and report test results in a clear, concise manner.
• Communicate regularly with project managers.
• Complete field data records and associated reports daily.
• Prepare for and complete continuing education for certifications through the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Code Council (ICC).
