Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Austin, TX is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead and coordinate subcontractors and Turner trade labor on site, ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality, and budget adherence.

The Superintendent reports to Project Superintendent, Project Manager or Project Executive and oversees field staff, develops schedules, recovers delays, and communicates with owners and architects to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and EH&S applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and staffing.
• Promote coordination among trades and resolve field issues.
• Manage site safety program and subcontractor compliance.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns.
• Create schedules and determine sequencing; implement recovery strategies.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers to resolve issues.
