Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead and coordinate field teams on complex projects, ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality, and budget adherence.

Responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, developing site plans, communicating with owners and architects, and managing the Work In Place process. A Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of eight years' related experience, training and/or experience.
• Preference for experience on HCAI / OSHPD construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 scheduling software and baseline schedule development.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control, contracts, drawings and specs, including MS Office and EH&S applications.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and staffing levels.
• Coordinate work among trades to promote unified project operations and resolve issues.
• Manage site safety program and subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes.
• Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and Interns; conduct performance appraisals when assigned.
• Create schedules and sequencing; develop recovery strategies to maintain timelines.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues; investigate and resolve.
• Oversee Work In Place (WIP) billing and monthly estimates of work, payrolls, invoices, and sub pay apps.
• Ensure work installed complies with approved contract documents.
