Job summary

Clayco in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Site Safety Supervisor to support project staff and the safety team in enforcing safety standards nationwide. The role includes weekly site inspections, coordinating orientations, coaching workers, and promoting a zero-injury culture on up to $80M projects.

Travel is required as clients nationwide are served; the candidate will conduct safety trainings, maintain records, investigate incidents, and partner with the Project Superintendent to implement fire prevention

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent.
• 0–5 years of safety experience with knowledge of safety principles and techniques.
• 2–3 years of field experience required.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.
• Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate construction sites.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program.
• Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new employees.
• Attend initial meetings to define safety roles.
• Conduct pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractors.
• Perform safety inspections and document violations.
• Investigate incidents and generate reports.
• Maintain safety records and prepare monthly briefings.
• Support fire prevention and emergency procedures.
