Job summary

BL Harbert International is seeking a Regional Safety Manager to lead site safety across construction projects. You will enforce federal, state and company safety standards, proactively manage hazards and conduct root-cause investigations, while coordinating with project teams and medical staff.

Excellent knowledge of OSHA rules and EM385-1-1 is essential. You will guide safety program development, mentor staff, and uphold BLHI’s safety culture across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Education and/or Trade School
• A minimum of 10 years of general safety experience including 5 years of applicable construction project experience
• Industry Certification/Accreditation
• OSHA 30-hour for Construction course and/or USACE EM385-1-1 40-hour course
• Documented Skills Training
• Preferred: Degree in a relevant curriculum from an accredited college or university
• Advanced emergency response training or experience (EMT, EMT-P, Hazmat, Technical Rescue etc.)

Responsibilities

• Enforce all applicable federal, state, local and company safety, health and environmental regulations
• Proactively recognize hazards and implement corrective measures
• Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes
• Coordinate with executives, project management, occupational medicine, and risk engineers
• Serve as the project’s safety, health and environmental technical advisor
• Establish and maintain relationships with project teams, owners, subcontractors, and medical staff
• Support and coordinate with project teams and multiple projects
• Work to uphold BLHI safety culture and corporate values
