Job summary

Valley Interior Systems is seeking a Site Safety Coordinator to implement and enforce safety on active commercial construction sites. You will work with field leadership and craftsmen to sustain a strong safety culture, and act as the daily resource for safety questions and compliance.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication skills, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and ability to read manuals and reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills, ability to read technical manuals, reports, rules and procedures.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions with multiple variables.
• Basic math skills to calculate percentages and maintain records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to travel locally for site work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for safety-related questions and problem-solving on projects.
• Coordinate and track employee training to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Safety Manager and Director to communicate needs and trends on sites.
• Participate in pre-task planning, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations.
• Investigate incidents and assist with documentation and follow-up actions.
• Perform safety audits, inspections, and reporting on active job sites.
