Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Superintendent to lead daily site operations, manage schedules, procure materials, and supervise direct labor and subcontractors. You will coordinate with the Project Manager on looks-ahead schedules and mobilization, ensuring timely project delivery and adherence to specifications.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction and at least five years of commercial construction experience, with strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction field; 5+ years commercial construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and codes.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan procedures and staffing.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Meet with stakeholders to review progress and issues.
• Ensure safety policies and company standards are followed.
• Manage labor and subcontractor coordination to control costs.
