Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller for our growing construction operations in the Greater Philadelphia area. The role partners with leadership to oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls during a period of growth.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in accounting or finance within construction, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP/finance software experience, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the company's accounting and financial operations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain the accuracy of financial records.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
• Coordinate year-end audit activities and work with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Oversee general ledger activities and month-end close processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting and reporting matters.
• Collaborate with department leaders to support company objectives.
