Scope: Uniform Security Officers are responsible for protecting the construction site’s building, equipment, grounds, assets, employees, and visitors against criminal activity, vandalism, accidents, and fires, as well as providing outstanding customer service. Officers will utilize their personal vehicles as a workspace and their personal cell phones to report on and off duty each shift.

Schedule

• Part-time 7:00AM - 3:00PM: Weekends
• Part-time 3:00PM - 11:00PM: Various days
• Part-time 11:00PM - 7:00AM: Various days

Compensation

• Rate of Pay: $17.43/hour
• Benefits: group accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, identity theft protection, and Paid Medical Leave (eligibility requirements apply).

Location: Tecumseh, MI

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to clients, customers, co-workers, etc.
• Monitor guard posts, including outdoor positions, building lobbies, or reception areas.
• Use your personal cell phone to make hourly wellness calls to the DK Command Center during overnight shifts.
• Conduct hourly interior and exterior patrols to check security measures and inventory.
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Verify employee and vendor identifications.
• Observe and report suspicious persons, packages, and activities.
• Follow site-specific post guidelines and report hazards or maintenance needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to multiple locations.
• Working cell phone capable of making hourly calls.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass a drug screening (including marijuana) and background checks, with no felony or disqualifying misdemeanor convictions.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and respond to emergencies for 8-12 hours; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Good vision (20 feet or more) and hearing ability.
• Proficient with mobile phones/computers, fluent in English, professional demeanor, and excellent customer service skills.
• Complete required training and adhere to policies.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
