Job Title - Safety Officer Projects Site
Function - Safety officer
Reports to - Head Projects / Head - HR
Job Objective - To form safety policies and implement the same during Project execution. Ensure Completion of project with 100% safe manhours.
Principal Accountabilities
Principal accountabilities are mentioned below which are expected to perform by Safety officer but not limit to it and expect excellence beyond given Job frame to meet company goals.
1) Develop policies and plans to reduce employee risk.
2) Administer occupational injured workers programs and Workers Compensation.
3) Enforce company policies and procedures and Safety and Health Regulations and Standards.
4) Observe work in progress and ensure safety equipment is worn and procedures followed.
5) Suggest corrections and follow-up to correct violations.
6) Analyze hazards and develop ergonomic risk assessments for public and non-public areas.
7) Resolve complaints and suggest to management for corrective action.
8) Ensure employee safety training and hands-on instruction.
9) Review Near Miss, Accidents and suggest preventing similar future incidents.
10) Prepare narrative reports on incidents impacting Project progress.
11) Execute effective safety, hazard control and industrial hygiene programs.
12) Evaluate risks and hazards and suggest corrective action.
Interpret, apply and explain suitable safety and environmental laws, codes and guidelines.
Education- Graduate / Undergraduate with Certificate of Safety management from reputed institute
Experience - Minimum 2 years
Knowledge and skill set - Good oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to maintain effective work relationships.
