Job summary

The Account Manager - Construction Sales at WM will oversee waste and recycling services for construction accounts in the Charleston, SC area. The role is a hybrid of hunter and farmer with a strong emphasis on new business generation, including in-person cold calling and prospecting for new projects.

You will educate customers on WM’s recycling processes, leverage online tools, and work toward meeting monthly sales goals. Heavy focus on new business (70%+).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
• 1 year of B2B sales and outbound prospecting to secure customer appointments.
• Experience with regulatory or environmental services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage B2B sales relationships for construction accounts.
• Develop proposals for multiple services.
• Research waste and environmental services market.
• Attend conferences and networking events to stay informed.
• Prospect and close to meet sales budgets.
• Maintain prospect data and communicate pricing strategies.
