Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist to coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine construction projects. This role conducts safety inspections, documents abatement of hazards, and writes reports in support of the company’s safety strategy and values.

Requirements include 2+ years in construction safety, a bachelor’s degree in safety/health or equivalent, and strong MS Office and safety system knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety and health (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conducts regular walk-through inspections to ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Leads safety audits, documents abatement actions, and tracks closure.
• Provides guidance and training on safety topics for project teams and participates in investigations.
