Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist 2 to coordinate and implement the field safety program across our Advanced Facilities projects. You will conduct regular site inspections, document hazards, and lead safety meetings to protect workers and ensure compliance with regulations.

The role requires 2+ years of construction safety experience, a bachelor’s degree in safety or a related field (or equivalent experience), and strong knowledge of federal and local safety rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a safety and health-related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2+ years construction safety experience required.
• Knowledge of federal, state, local and company safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular walk-through inspections of sites to ensure safety compliance.
• Lead safety audits and document abatement of hazards.
• Facilitate new hire orientation and monitor drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Support safety program implementation with project leadership and meetings.
• Investigate incidents and recommend process improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Provide guidance and training on safety topics for project teams.
