Job summary

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) is seeking a Safety Specialist for core field work. You will coordinate and implement the field safety program on routine construction projects, conduct site inspections, and support safety initiatives across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has 0-2 years construction experience, a safety/health degree preferred, and strong MS Office skills to document findings, training, and compliance; you will collaborate with project teams and assist in accident

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety and health preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conducts regular walk-through inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with laws and Company policies.
• Conducts safety audits on assigned projects and documents abatement actions.
• Schedules new hire orientation and oversees drug and alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitors prime/subcontractors’ safety programs.
• Attends project meetings to discuss safety matters.
• Supports field leadership in safety program implementation and chairs the project safety committee.
• Assists in investigation of project-related accidents.
• Coordinates with injured employees and clinics for timely treatment and return to work.
• Monitors site safety incentive program.
