Job summary

CEC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs, conduct field walks, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee audits. The role includes coaching employees to foster safe behaviors and a strong safety culture on project sites in a safety-sensitive environment.

The position requires OSHA 30 Construction, 1–3 years in construction safety, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as project schedules demand.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline a plus.
• 1 - 3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety preferred).
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Crew Foreman/General Foremen in ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses; photo-document completed ORM board daily.
• Work day and/or night shifts, overtime, weekends depending on project schedule.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with hazards, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Interact regularly with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations.
• Assist with delivery of site safety orientations for new employees.
• Assist site supervision in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Perform periodic audits of tools and equipment to ensure good maintenance.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and project requirements.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient operations.
