Job summary

Brinkmann Constructors seeks an experienced Safety Manager to lead on-site safety programs across large construction projects in Phoenix, AZ. You will work with project managers and superintendents to embed safety into daily operations, coordinate onboarding for trades, and maintain OSHA 300 logs and incident reporting.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and the ability to drive proactive safety initiatives, including training and enforcing a culture of safety first across all teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience managing the safety efforts on large construction projects.
• Minimum of 3 years of field experience preferred.
• Ability to work with all construction groups: management, owners, trades, and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is built into every project with PMs and Superintendents.
• Lead safety programs and onboarding for new hires and subcontractors.
• Oversee PPE, first aid, safety documents, and on-site safety culture.
• Maintain OSHA 300 log and coordinate with insurance.
• Investigate injuries and coordinate corrective actions.
