Job summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety programs across Downers Grove and nationwide projects. You will lead risk-management training, inspect sites, and ensure compliance with safety policies in collaboration with project teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction safety, with strong communication skills and the ability to travel 2–3 days per week. A BS in OH&S and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety and health experience in construction.
• Prior construction experience is required.
• Forklift and MEWP instructor training is a plus.
• Certification(s) such as STS/CHST/CSP are preferred.
• OSHA 500/510 certification a plus.
• Valid driver's license in your state.

Responsibilities

• Lead training programs on risk management for office and field teams.
• Provide on-site safety training to superintendents and subcontractors.
• Lead safety portions of preconstruction and other meetings.
• Perform regular safety inspections and publish improvement reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety compliance and best practices.
• Review engineered plans for safety hazards with project managers.
• Travel to multiple job sites regionally and nationwide 2–3 days/week.
