Job summary

Gradiant is seeking a Construction Safety Engineer to lead safety and health programs on complex projects in the United States. You will identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, review JHAs/AHAs, and drive corrective actions to protect workers and the environment.

This role supports project teams and subcontractors through training and field engagement. Responsibilities include inspections, incident investigations, stop-work authority, and performance tracking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of construction safety experience on industrial, commercial, heavy civil, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
• Required: CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician).
• Preferred: ASP, CSP, OHST, OSHA 500/510, First Aid/CPR Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project-specific safety and health programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and company safety requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Develop and review JHAs/AHAs.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks.
• Coach supervisors and subcontractors on safe work practices.
• Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.
