Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Dallas Main division is seeking an entry-level Environmental Health & Safety professional to support enforcement of EH&S policies on a live construction project in Lueders, TX. You will assist with hazard identification, safe work practices training, and regulatory compliance.

The role involves reviewing subcontractor safety programs, promoting safe conditions, maintaining safety records, and supporting worker orientations to ensure Living Injury Free Every Day on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited program in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field, and minimum 1 year of safety experience
• Basic knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
• Familiar with Federal, State, and Local EH&S regulations
• Familiar with general construction operations
• Ability to identify safety exposures and propose corrective actions
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Assist with enforcing safety policies and risk management on construction projects
• Provide training for safe work practices and project safety programs
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with regulations and contracts
• Review subcontractor training per OSHA standards
• Promote safe work practices and conditions on site
• Assist with drug screening administration per requirements
• Coordinate preconstruction meetings and worker orientations
• Maintain safety records and incident metrics
• Conduct safety meetings and issue minutes
