Job summary

Turner Construction Company in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Entry-level Environmental Health and Safety Associate to assist with enforcing safety policies on our construction projects. You will support hazard identification, risk management, and the administration of safety programs across the site.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field and bring basic knowledge of OSHA standards, strong communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field, and 1 year of construction safety experience.
• Basic knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Familiar with Federal, State, and local Environmental Health & Safety regulations.
• Familiar with general construction operations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with providing training for safe work practices and project safety programs.
• Assist with reviewing subcontractor safety programs for compliance with regulations.
• Assist with promoting safe work practices and working conditions on site.
• Assist with administration of drug screening programs per requirements.
• Assist with coordinating preconstruction meetings and worker orientation sessions.
• Assist with maintaining safety records and incident investigations.
