Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Risk Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Boston. The role requires proven risk expertise on large-scale construction projects across sectors like data centers and energy.

You will manage threat/opportunity points, cost and schedule risk, and collaborate with contractors and clients to ensure effective risk controls. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience are expected, with strong communication and analytic skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of applicable experience.
• Experience in program management or program controls.
• Deep knowledge of risk identification and techniques.
• Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to support risk profiling.
• Use risk data to inform investment planning.
• Monitor overall risk exposure and remaining risk budget.
• Collaborate with contractors to assess held risks and client risks.
• Produce risk reports to communicate threat and opportunity status.
• Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule).
• Develop risk management plans and processes per client requirements.
• Lead end-to-end risk management on multiple projects/programs.
• Create value-stream mappings to quantify pain points and opportunities.
• Collaborate on supplier performance metrics and improvement plans.
• Support expert witnesses in arbitration or litigation processes.
• Lead construction stage contract and claims management.
• Assess contractual claims per contract terms.
• Provide strategic and contractual advice on disputes.
• Manage change and cost control in construction stages.
