Job summary

Granite Construction Company in The Woodlands, TX seeks a dispatch coordinator to support construction projects through planning and allocation of labor, equipment, and materials. Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0–2 years dispatch experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills needed.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating project resource needs with Construction Manager, Superintendents, Safety, and Equipment departments.
• Dispatch resources with detailed information (time, location) to field crews to meet project schedules.
• Coordinate with Equipment and other dispatchers to optimize Granite equipment utilization and schedule repairs.
• Use dispatch software to communicate resource and scheduling details daily to the team.
• Inform Superintendents of daily work progress and QC/PM/payroll status.
• Collaborate with vendors to secure pricing for rentals and materials not in job setups; use FIS system accordingly.
• Understand contract requirements for ordering resources (DBE, Tier-compliant equipment).
• Update the underground service alert (USA) to keep it current.
• Code office invoices for accuracy and timeliness; track rentals and equipment moves as needed.
