Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Recruiter in the construction industry, preferably 3–5 years.
• Working knowledge of recruiting best practices
• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and update job descriptions and specifications
• Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to ATS, appropriate job boards, newspapers, etc.
• Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, etc.
• Collect and screen candidate resumes and job applications
• Conduct interviews using various tools and questionnaires to filter candidates for open roles
• Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills and experience
• Drive the recruiting process from application to first day onsite, including phone screens and in-person interviews
• Coordinate interviews with hiring managers or SMEs and collect feedback
• Prepare and present offers to candidates
• Conduct pre-employment activities such as background checks and coordinating drug screens
• Coordinate start date/time/location with HR/Site Management
• Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
• Design and implement recruiting strategies
• Manage the recruitment process and update procedures when necessary
• Compile, review, analyze, and provide recruiting reports and data to support continuous improvement of the department
