Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the on-site QC program for a single project, within a team led by a senior quality manager. You will maintain the ITP, schedule and witness tests, and manage nonconformances through to closure.

This is the entry-level management seat for a field inspector ready to own a broader program. You will coordinate test activities, ensure certifications are current, and produce the daily QC report along with three-phase meeting

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing or QC in a construction environment.
• At least one of: ACI Grade I, NICET II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C certificate (sponsored if not held).
• Able to translate specs and drawings into a concrete test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable communicating a failing lift to a superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
• Verify certifications of technicians performing tests.
• Write the daily quality control report and prepare three-phase meeting records (preparatory, initial, follow-up).
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and the engineer of record.
