Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Engineering Interns to apply standard engineering techniques in design and updating projects. Interns will support lead engineers across markets, with the Construction group focusing on design-build services, safety, estimating, and field operations.

This paid internship supports 72-hour posting and remains open until filled. The role requires pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Welding Technology or related field, a minimum GPA of 3.0, and legal work

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Welding Technology, Materials Joining Engineering, Supplier Quality, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks requiring application of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties.
• Contribute to standard design of engineering systems and corrections/updates to designs.
