Job summary

BL Harbert International seeks a Quality Control Manager to oversee daily QC duties on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with established standards and quality programs.

The role involves reviewing documentation, conducting site inspections, coordinating with project managers and superintendents, managing submittals, meetings and reports, and upholding safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of construction industry experience.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Ability to manage and document QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain the project submittal log and other QC reports.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with specs.
• Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the superintendent.
• Provide written daily QC reports confirming conformance and addressing non-conformances.
• Lead preparatory, initial and follow-up meetings to define standards of care.
• Verify materials meet submittals and are stored correctly for use.
• Schedule, document and log all required inspections and sign off on non-conformances.
• Conduct periodic follow-up inspections to ensure contract documents are followed.
• Document final inspections, occupancy certificates and acceptance.
• Stop work if safety or quality issues arise.
