Job summary

BL Harbert International is seeking a qualified Quality Control Inspector to oversee the entire shop production floor across Plant 1 and Plant 2. The role emphasizes enforcing project specifications, maintaining shop QA standards, and developing a robustQuality Control Program in alignment with JVF requirements.

Ideal candidates will hold a Certified Weld Inspector credential, possess related accreditations, and demonstrate deep knowledge of AWS, AISC, and CWI codes, along with welding and NDT

Qualifications

• Certified Weld Inspector and at least one related industry accreditation or certification.
• In-depth understanding of AWS, AISC, and CWI codes, standards and requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; familiarity with Tekla PowerFab or similar fabrication software.
• Solid understanding of fabrication processes, tolerances, and non-destructive weld testing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality on the shop production floor at Plant 1 and Plant 2 to ensure adherence to JVF standards.
• Enforce project specification requirements and shop quality control standards.
• Develop, implement, and manage Quality Control Program and Procedures.
• Oversee annual and periodic AISC requirements.
• Plan and implement upgrades to the Quality Program.
• Develop inspector recruiting, retention, and mentorship programs.
