Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE) seeks a Project Manager for Construction Quality Assurance to oversee inspection, testing, and compliance programs on complex projects.

Lead inspectors and coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals to ensure conformance with contract drawings and specifications. Responsibilities include reviewing QC documentation, preparing status updates, and certifying projects meet CQA plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Construction Engineering, or related field.
• Proven proficiency and experience in earthwork quality control, construction, inspection, or testing.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management.
• Expertise in IBC, ASTM, ACI, DOT, and applicable municipal standards.
• Broad knowledge of construction processes, including earthwork, concrete, asphalt, masonry, structural steel, and foundations.
• Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to travel for site visits, manage multiple sites, and make critical decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Master and apply industry standards, codes, and inspection protocols to ensure quality compliance.
• Analyze testing results, reports, and project documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain high attention to detail and precision in all inspections, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills to address complex quality issues proactively.
• Plan, organize, and oversee quality assurance operations across multiple projects to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and manufacturer quality control documentation and test results.
• Ensure that daily project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements align and are met.
• Integrate quality assurance into project planning phases to minimize risk and enhance outcomes.
• Communicate project progression and quality assurance adherence to the client and project teams.
• Supervise, mentor, and train inspection teams to uphold BLE’s quality standards.
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and technical excellence.
• Support staff professional development through training, certifications, and knowledge sharing.
• Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to improve efficiency and accuracy.
