Job summary

The Superintendent 2 at JE Dunn Houston will plan, manage and execute on complex projects, ensuring timely, profitable completion while aligning with JE Dunn's strategy and values. You will handle material and equipment, assist with people management, and maintain documentation.

This role requires coordinating with owners, design teams and field staff, leading safety and quality programs, and sourcing formwork and tools for self-perform work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• 5+ years construction experience.
• 3+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience with Lean principles (Preferred).
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and mentors staff.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates project site care, custody and control.
• Leads meetings and reviews; tracks schedule and costs.
• Ensures quality compliance through QA/QC and specifications.
• Manages project closeouts and pre-punch activities.
• Negotiates changes with owner and architect.
