Job summary

RealREPP is seeking a Purchasing Agent responsible for quoting, procurement, and delivery of specified products and/or services from qualified suppliers within company policies. The role involves evaluating best solutions for cost, quality, and delivery, and ensuring timely fulfillment of requisitions.

Responsibilities include negotiating favorable terms, coordinating with project teams and A/P, assisting with bid documents, and managing purchase orders to support project success.

Qualifications

• 2 year AA degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing practices, systems, and practices.
• Good ability to effectively negotiate and procure items in a timely manner.
• Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong product knowledge of pipe, valves, and fittings for Plumbing / mechanical systems.
• Experience using ERP software (COINS preferred).
• Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers, customers, project management, field staff, and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills material requisitions, procures at competitive price, ensures on-time delivery.
• Collaborates with staff to eliminate waste and streamline systems; resolve problem invoices with A/P.
• Assists in compiling bid documents and bidders list for award recommendations.
• Coordinates with project managers and staff to procure goods and services; resolve supplier issues.
• Coordinates bulk deliveries to meet deadlines.
• Prepares and manages purchase orders; follows up on past-due orders.
