Job summary

RealREPP, a full-service recruiting firm, is currently partnering with a growing, nationally recognized organization to hire a Sr. Purchasing Agent. This role manages quoting, procurement, and delivery from qualified suppliers while aligning with company policies.

The candidate will negotiate terms, coordinate with project teams, and support bid processes, while ensuring on-time material delivery and strong supplier relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• AA degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing practices, systems, and practices.
• Good ability to effectively negotiate and procure items in a timely manner.
• Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, quality oriented, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills material requisitions from field staff, estimating or fabrication shop and procures at a competitive price with timely delivery.
• Collaborates with staff and management to streamline systems and resolve invoices for payment.
• Assists in preparing bid documents, bidders lists, inquiries, and award recommendations.
• Coordinates with project managers to procure raw materials, equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Coordinates bulk deliveries to meet deadlines and manages past-due purchase orders.
