Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Project Manager, Construction to independently manage moderate to large-scale construction and capital improvement projects in Charlotte, NC. You will own budgets, schedules, and vendor performance, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and Lincoln's quality standards.

The role requires coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors; reviewing contracts and change orders; and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction and/or tenant improvement projects.
• Demonstrated track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, budgets, schedules, and building codes.
• Proven vendor and contractor management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Function as the primary point of contact for owners, clients, and stakeholders on assigned construction projects.
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, providing regular status reporting to clients and leadership.
• Select and manage architects, engineers, consultants, and general contractors appropriate to project requirements.
• Review and negotiate contracts, bids, and change orders, ensuring alignment with project budget and objectives.
• Oversee construction document review, permitting, and the AHJ approval process.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, schedule adherence, and safety compliance.
• Manage the pay application, invoicing, and project accounting process.
• Identify and resolve project risks and issues, escalating to leadership as needed.
• Lead project closeout, including punch lists, commissioning, warranties, and as-built documentation.
