Job summary

HBW Construction in Washington, DC area seeks a Project Manager to oversee 3–4 commercial projects, guiding marketing, estimating, contract management, scheduling, and closeout to deliver high quality work on schedule and within budget.

You will manage client relationships, develop bids with estimating staff, select subcontractors, draft subcontracts, and control costs. A vehicle and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Knowledge of construction industry standards, building codes, equipment, methods and contracts.
• Strong presentation, communication, problem-solving, financial and leadership skills.
• Must have a vehicle to use for work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bidding, develop project schedules, and coordinate with estimating staff.
• Review subcontractor bids for completeness and accuracy.
• Select/coordinate subcontractors, draft subcontracts, and manage project budgets.
• Lead weekly progress meetings, track submittals, and manage change orders.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and per HBW quality standards.
• Resolve conflicts and proactively address issues to keep projects on course.
