Job summary

Opitz Bürotechnik is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the full construction lifecycle from planning to closeout. You will coordinate vendors, negotiate contracts, manage client expectations, resolve disputes, and ensure schedule and budget control. Travel up to 30% may be required.

The role requires leading assistants, managing cost reports, and providing comprehensive project administration and documentation to ensure compliance with standards and owner requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field required or preferred.
• 4–10 years of experience in large, complex facility construction.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, procurement, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project managers and participate in training.
• Maintain the Job Cost Report, ledgers, and budget.
• Develop project administration documents and correspondence.
• Provide planning, programming, design, and construction support to ensure standards are met.
• Develop budget controls for each project and monitor progress.
• Prepare cost estimates and review contractor proposals.
• Attend owner meetings for input on project scope and outcomes.
• Act as owner's representative in engineering, design, and construction contracts.
• Prepare and review change orders and amendments for owner approval.
• Maintain budgets, schedules, and contract documents; manage approvals.
