Job summary

ARCO Companies in Framingham, MA is seeking a Project Manager Intern to support estimating, scheduling, design meetings, and buyout activities across design-build projects. This paid summer internship offers hands-on experience with subcontractors, permitting, and site visits under close supervision.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor's degree program
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Estimating: describe project proposals and assign dollar values
• Scheduling: create a working timeline for subcontractors to complete the project on time
• Design meetings: attend meetings with owner and team to understand proposals
• Buyout: issue bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors and evaluate proposals
• Permitting: fill out permit forms and obtain approvals
• Shop drawing/submittal review: coordinate between subcontractors and PM
• Billing: handle subcontracts, change orders, pay requests and pay apps
• Job site visits: accompany PM and ensure smooth project progress
