Job summary

ARCO invites applications for a Project Manager Intern to support estimating, scheduling, design meetings, and buyout activities across ongoing projects. You’ll assist with permitting, submittals, and site visits, gaining real-world exposure to a design-build environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management program with a minimum 3.0 GPA, strong written and verbal communication, and a drive to learn.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Previous Internship or Co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with estimating by describing proposals and assigning dollar values.
• Create scheduling timelines for subcontractors and trades to complete the project on time.
• Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand proposals from engineers and architects.
• Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subs; receive, evaluate, and award subcontracts.
• Fill out permit forms and submit them with drawings and fees for city/county/fire approval.
• Review shop drawings and submittals and communicate to subs when they can begin work.
• Assist with subcontracting, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
• Visit job sites with PM to ensure project is on track.
