Job summary

ARCO is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager Intern to join our team for the summer. You will assist Project Managers with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, and site visits to ensure projects stay on track.

This internship offers housing stipends based on need, an ESOP eligibility pathway, an end-of-term performance bonus, and a potential path to full-time employment. Ideal candidates are enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – describe project proposals and assign dollar values.
• Scheduling – create a working timeline for subcontractors/trades.
• Design meetings – attend meetings with owner and team to understand proposals.
• Buyout – send bid instructions, schedule and drawings to subs, evaluate proposals, and award subcontracts.
• Permitting – fill out permit forms and submit with drawings/fees for approvals.
• Shop drawing/submittal review – coordinate with PM and subcontractor to begin material orders.
• Billing – manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests and pay applications.
• Job site visits – accompany PM to ensure the project runs smoothly.
