Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager to oversee planning, management, procurement, scheduling, and execution of assigned construction projects. You will work with the project superintendent to deliver predictable outcomes, manage budgets, and ensure quality and safety standards while exceeding owner expectations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, and preferably 5+ years in commercial construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years in commercial construction.
• Understanding bids, change orders, and contracts.
• Knowledge of building codes and plans and blueprints.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Champions The Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
• Ensures safety, quality, and integrity in all work.
• Prepares project budgets and estimates; leads PMP development.
• Monitors cost, schedule, and scope; coordinates with superintendent.
• Negotiates owner and subcontractor change orders; manages cost impact.
• Develops monthly client pay requests and monitors collections.
• Manages project closeout, as-builts, and final documentation.
• Maintains client relationship and leads regular project meetings.
