Job summary

Cookevillle Putnam-County Chamber of Commerce seeks a construction project manager to lead procurement, contracting, scheduling, and cost control for complex, multi‑phase projects.

You will oversee subcontractors and vendors, review drawings, maintain project records, monitor budgets, and communicate with clients to meet scope and schedule.

This on‑site role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management (or related field) and strong software skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent construction experience.
• Experience with construction software such as ProCore, Primavera SureTrak, and Viewpoint.
• Ability to read building plans and understand construction processes to drive projects to completion.
• Strong time management to maintain budgets, schedules, and documentation.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced multi-project environments.
• Skilled in conflict resolution and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Procure subcontractors, engineers/architects, and vendors to meet project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, schedules, and related agreements.
• Manage job costs and track financial performance.
• Oversee project documentation including subcontracts, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and related records.
• Allocate resources and mitigate project risks.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure needs and expectations are met.
• Provide updates on schedule, design intent, material selections, and requested changes.
• Review progress with Field Manager to maintain codes, deliveries, and budgets.
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
