Overview

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager in San Francisco, CA to oversee ground-up new construction multi-family projects, supporting affordable homeownership initiatives across San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin Counties. This mission-driven organization is at the forefront of the affordable housing movement—building high-quality, sustainable homes while creating generational change in the communities it serves.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • MUST HAVE ground-up new construction experience within the multi-family sector (Section 3 experience preferred); MUST live within a 35-mile radius of San Francisco 94104
  • Minimum 5–8 years of construction project management experience; manage one large or multiple smaller multi-family projects simultaneously
  • Strong proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, and Excel; track RFIs, submittals, budgets, schedules, and documentation
  • Develop scopes of work, perform material take-offs, solicit bids, and manage subcontractor buyout and contracts
  • Prepare and manage detailed project budgets, change orders, monthly draws, and retention releases
  • Conduct regular site visits (approximately 25% field / 75% office; 3 days office, 2 days field); ensure safety compliance and quality standards
  • Coordinate with city building departments to obtain permits and manage inspection records
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; collaborate with Development, Finance, Superintendents, consultants, and stakeholders

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
