Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Ground up multifamily construction experience required.
  • Experience with podium, Type III/Type V, mixed use, student housing or affordable housing projects.
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Strong budgets, contracts, scheduling, procurement and cost control.
  • Experience with subcontractor buyout and contract negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications and project documentation.
  • Ability to work with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors and field teams.
  • Strong communication, organization and problem solving skills.
  • Procore experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred.

  • Coordinate with the superintendent and field team to maintain momentum and quality.
  • Participate in preconstruction, estimating, value engineering and constructability reviews.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and serve as primary contact throughout the project.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing California general contractor with a strong portfolio of multifamily, student housing, affordable housing and mixed use construction.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of construction Project Management experience
  • Strong background with ground up multifamily construction
  • Experience with podium, Type III, Type V, mixed use, student housing, affordable housing or similar residential projects is highly valued
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Strong understanding of budgets, contracts, scheduling, procurement and cost control
  • Experience with subcontractor buyout and contract negotiations
  • Strong knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications and project documentation
  • Ability to work effectively with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors and field teams
  • Strong communication, organization and problem solving skills
  • Procore experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field preferred
