Job summary

Michilli Inc., a seasoned construction and consulting firm, is seeking a Project Manager for luxury retail, residential, and commercial sectors. You will oversee multiple projects, manage budgets and schedules, and lead client and architect coordination to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7–10 years of experience, including GC work and Procore proficiency. The position offers a hybrid schedule and proximity to NYC-area projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering or related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination.
  • 5+ years of experience with high-end retail, luxury residential, commercial construction.
  • 7+ years of General Contractor experience.
  • Experience managing multiple high-end, fast-track projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Procore.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; MS Project proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full life cycle, including Pre-Construction, of multiple projects concurrently, ensuring schedule and budget.
  • Determine and control the critical path of all assigned projects.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding timelines and budget.
  • Establish performance, budget and safety goals for the team.
  • Regularly review projects to identify scheduling, staffing, budgeting or performance issues.
  • Oversee jobsite administration of documentation, drawings and specs.
  • Manage progress schedule, procurement log, budget and invoicing functions.
  • Consult with Estimating to ensure bid validity and buy-out.
  • Direct and supervise Assistant Project Manager (APM).
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with Client and Architect to review progress and look ahead schedules.
  • Coordinate with Superintendent to ensure job site safety and progress.
  • Review and correct all project submittals to maintain schedule.
  • Assist with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure project closeout within 45 days of completion.
  • Develop relationships with Clients, Owner's rep, Designers/Architects, subs and industry contacts.
  • Generate project progress reports (budget/schedule) as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Overview

The Project Manager (Luxury Retail, Residential & Commecial) is responsible for successful execution of assigned construction projects through the facilitation & planning of all construction activities and fulfillment of all project milestones and objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

Schedule

Hybrid, after successful completion of 90 day onboarding period, 4 days in-person and 1 day remote

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience with: high end retail, luxury residential, commercial construction experience.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of General Contractor experience.
  • Experience managing multiple high-end, fast track, projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Procore.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Advanced proficiency in MS Project.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to visit job sites as needed.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
