Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee all phases of interior construction projects in Manhattan. You will lead planning, coordinate with stakeholders, supervise subcontractors, and ensure client specs are met within schedule and budget.

This role emphasizes quality, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced urban environment. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in commercial interior construction, strong leadership, and proficiency with PM software.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in commercial interior construction project management.
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading and scaling teams.
  • Proficient in project management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership to the project team.
  • Develop and monitor the project schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Administer contracts and subcontracting agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes and QA/QC programs.
  • Manage risk, negotiations, and pricing decisions.

This position oversees all phases of interior construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to client specifications. Responsibilities include managing project planning, coordinating with stakeholders, supervising subcontractors, and resolving any issues while maintaining compliance with local codes and high-quality standards.

Description
  • Provide overall leadership to entire project team
  • Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.
  • Build and maintain rapport with architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Understand and administer contract and subcontract agreements.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement the Project Schedule
  • Manage budget and financial reporting * Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program.
  • Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions
Profile
  • 10+ years' experience in Commercial Construction Project Management (Retail Preferred)
  • Experience leading and scaling teams
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field strongly preferred
  • OSHA certification preferred * Proficient in project management software
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
