We are hiring a Construction Project Manager who can independently manage project budgets, schedules, submittals, and RFIs while serving as a key point of contact for clients and specialty trade contractors.

Custom Contracting is a woman-owned general contractor that self-performs union carpentry, specializing in construction within active, occupied healthcare facilities across the Chicago area. Our mission is Building a healthy place in our world, and that starts with how we treat our team members.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who can independently manage project budgets, schedules, submittals, and RFIs while serving as a key point of contact for clients and specialty trade contractors. You'll bring several years of hands-on construction PM experience. Healthcare construction or other highly sensitive, occupied-facility experience is strongly preferred, and strong APMs who are ready to step up are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

• Own estimates, project budgets, schedules, and cost tracking from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Coordinate closely with clients, field leadership, and specialty trade contractors
• Help deliver work safely and smoothly in environments where patients and staff are present

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project; experience with Sage CM, Sage Estimating, or Sage 100 a plus.
