Job summary

Actalent, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects in Willowbrook, IL, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality.

You will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and designers to meet project goals and client satisfaction. The role requires 7–10 years' PM experience on ground-up or renovation projects, proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and cost forecasting tools, and strong communication skills to resolve issues and drive project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CM or related field required.
  • 7–10 years as a sole Project Manager on ground-up/renovation projects.
  • Proficient with Procore, cost forecasting, MS Project, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of public bidding processes and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Experience bidding, scoping work, managing subs, scheduling, and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly PM/Project Engineer meetings.
  • Create work plans, request bids, evaluate proposals, finalize subcontracts.
  • Be primary contact for clients; ensure satisfaction.
  • Set and oversee project timelines with stakeholders.
  • Review submittals, payment apps, and project docs promptly.
  • Oversee subcontractors and coordinate communications.
  • Generate financial reports and schedule progress.
  • Resolve RFIs with owner and design team; manage change orders.
  • Support team to meet objectives; assist in bids and client acquisition.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and team members to achieve project goals and maintain client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Attend weekly Project Manager and Project Engineer meetings every Monday at 9 AM to plan for the week.
  • Create detailed work plans, request bids, evaluate proposals, and finalize subcontract agreements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing project-related concerns to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Establish and oversee comprehensive project timelines, collaborating with all stakeholders to prevent delays.
  • Ensure prompt review and processing of submittals, payment applications, and other project documents.
  • Supervise subcontractors, maintaining professional communication and coordination.
  • Generate project documentation, including financial reports, monthly updates, and schedule progress.
  • Resolve RFIs in collaboration with the owner and design team.
  • Evaluate and process change orders.
  • Support the project team in meeting overall project objectives.
  • Contribute to bid pursuits, proposal development, and the acquisition of new clients.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience as a sole Project Manager supporting ground up/ renovation construction projects.
  • Proficiency with Procore, cost forecasting tools, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of public bidding processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with project managers, trade contractors, architects, and engineers, and resolving issues independently.
  • Previous experience in bidding processes, creating work scopes, managing subcontractors, scheduling projects, and generating cost reports.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Construction Management is a plus.
  • Experience with educational building projects, ground-up projects, and large budget renovations.
  • Ability to work within an integrated project delivery environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Willowbrook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.28 - $72.11/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
