Job summary

Perimeter Security Partners in Brentwood, TN seeks a detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee budgets, coordinate subcontractors, and manage the construction process from start to finish. This role requires organizing schedules, tracking inventory, and ensuring timely, on-budget project delivery across government, commercial, and industrial clients.

PMs must work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, or related field preferred.
• Three years’ experience as a construction project manager or in a similar role in construction management.
• Ability to manage and motivate employees, teams, and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with Procore and MS Project is highly beneficial.
• Understanding of construction industry regulations at local, state, and federal levels; federal contract experience preferred.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily coordination with site superintendents and report to leadership on progress.
• Collect and organize all project documentation from pre-bid to close-out.
• Develop pre-construction submittals for client review and approvals.
• Coordinate with agencies and design teams on work plans and packages.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and PSP personnel.
• Input, manage, and track project data using Procore, RMS, and similar PM systems.
• Prepare and update budgets, schedules, and invoices per contract requirements.
• Ensure site safety plans and QA plans are implemented and followed.

Description

Weareseekingadetail-oriented,thorough,andorganizedProjectManager(PM)tojoinourgrowingteam.Inthisposition,youwilloverseefinancialbudgets,coordinatesubcontractors,andmanagetheconstructionprocesstomeetcontractualrequirements.Youwillalsoorganizeschedules,trackinventory,andoverseematerialordering.ProjectManagersworkinmanyareasofdevelopmentandareresponsibleformanagingaprojectfromstarttofinish.Theirdutiesincludeputtingtogetheraprojectschedule,hiringsubcontractors,negotiatingcontracts,andobtainingpermits.

PMssuperviseconstruction,repair,anddesign-buildprojectsfrombeginningtoend,ensuringthatprojectsarecompletedwithintimeandbudgetaryconstraints.Anunderstandingoftheconstructionbusinessandtheabilitytoworkunderdeadlinesinafast-pacedenvironmentareimportantforcareersuccess.PMscontrolthetime,cost,andqualityofconstructionprojectsawardedbygovernment,commercial,andindustrialclients.Theyplanandcoordinateallaspectsoftheconstructionprocess,includinghiringsubcontractorsandworkingwithengineers,architects,vendors,fieldpersonnel,logisticsprofessionals,andotherstocompleteallaspectsoftheprojectswithinquality,time,andbudgetaryconstraints.PMsarethereforeresponsibleforkeepingassignedprojectsontrack.Theymustpossesstheabilitytonotonlymanagecurrentsituationsastheyarise,butalsoanticipatefuturechallengestoresolveissuesbeforetheybecomeproblems.

Duties:

• Performdailycoordinationwithallprojectsitesuperintendents,updatingPSPleadershiponconstructionprogressandsupportneededateachsite.
• Collectandorganizeallelectronicdocumentationforeachproject,includingpre-bid,bid,pre-construction,construction,andclose-outdocuments.
• Developpre-constructionsubmittalsforclientreview/approval,includingmaterialsubmittals,qualitycontrol,safety,riskmanagement,anddesignqualitycontrolplans.
• Coordinatewithinternalandexternalagenciestodraftandeditworkplansandotherdesignpackages.
• Provideroutinecommunication,includinge-mailandtelephoniccontactwithvendors,subcontractors,customers,andPSPpersonnel.
• UtilizeProcore,USArmyCorpsofEngineersRecordManagementSystem(RMS),andsimilarprojectmanagementsoftwaresystemstoinput,manage,andtrackprojectdata.
• Prepare,submit,andupdateprojectdata,reports,andsubmittalstomeetcontractualrequirementsandclient/leadershipexpectations,toinclude:
  • Filedailyreports.
  • Prepareandtransmitsubmittalsontimetomeetcontractualrequirements.
  • UpdatescheduleprogressandprovideappropriatemanagementtoolstotheclientandPSPleadership.
  • Trackclientreviewofsubmittalsandfollow-upasneeded.
  • Identifymaterialandequipmentrequirementsforprojectexecutionandcoordinatedeliverywhenneededtomeettimelines.
  • Prepareprojectbudgetswithschedulesofvalues.Develop,coordinate,andsubmitdraftandfinalinvoicesforpaymentpercontractrequirements.
  • CoordinateinspectionandoversightoftheClient’sQualityAssuranceRepresentativetominimizeprojectdelays.
  • Develop,implement,andoverseetheSite-SpecificSafetyandHealthPlan/AccidentPreventionPlanandotherapplicabledocumentstoensureprojectsareperformedinasafemanner.
  • Participatein,and/orassistwiththeconductofpre-bidsitevisits,siteinvestigations,kick-offmeetings,andpre-constructionmeetingsasrequired.
• CoordinateworkrequirementswithoneormoreAssistantPMs.
• Performotheradministrativeandmanagementtasksasnecessarytodeliverprojectsontimeandonbudget.

• CertificationasaProjectManagementProfessional(PMP)isaplus.
