Job summary

PerimeterSecurityPartners seeks a motivated traveling Installation Superintendent to install AVB, security fencing, gates, bollards, conduit pathways, and passive vehicle barrier equipment at ACPs across the United States.

You will manage AVB/PVB installation at sites, supervise 2–4 crew, procure materials, track labor hours, and prepare daily reports while coordinating with project managers and client representatives.

Qualifications

• HighSchoolDiplomaisrequired.
• Bachelor’sdegreeinengineering,constructionmanagement,orarelatedfieldispreferred.
• Minimumofthreeyearsofexperienceasaconstructionsupervisor/foreman,orsuperintendentisrequired.
• Minimumoffiveyearsofexperiencewithexcavation,theplacementofreinforcedconcrete,and/ortheinstallationofindustrialfencing.
• Abilitytoreadandunderstandconstructiondrawingsandinstallationdetails.

Responsibilities

• Directlysupervise,train,monitorattendance,andassigntaskstoinstallationcrewandensuretheprojectiskeptonschedule.
• Monitorworkersinconstructionmethods,equipmentoperation,safetyprocedures,andcompanypolicies.
• CoordinatecloselywithPSP’sGeneralSuperintendent,PSPProjectManagers,Clientsiterepresentatives,andotherpersonneltosafelyconductassignedworkwhileminimizingoperationalimpacts.
• Create the3-weeklook-aheadscheduleanddeliverweeklyupdatestotheProjectManager.
• Overseeworkplansandteamactivitiestoensurecompliancewithapplicabledesignandcontractdocuments,safetycriteria,andcompanypolicy.

PerimeterSecurityPartnersislookingforamotivatedandprofessionaltravelingInstallationSuperintendentwithstrongconstructiontradeexperiencetoinstallactivevehiclebarriers(AVB),securityfencing,personnelgates,bollards,undergroundelectricaldistribution(conduitpathways),concreteequipment/parkingpads,andpassivevehiclebarrier(PVB)equipmentataccesscontrolpoints(ACPs)throughouttheUnitedStates.Projectsiteswillincludemilitaryinstallations,federalgovernmentfacilities,industrialsites,datacenters,majorsportingandeventvenues,andothercommercialfacilities.

TheSuperintendentisresponsibleformanagingthephysicalconstructionofAVB,PVB,fence,andrelatedACPequipmentataprojectsitewithsupportfromaremoteProjectManager.Theyshouldhaveadvancedproficiencywithexcavation;reinforcedconcreteplacement;chainlink,palisade,andwelded-wirefenceinstallation;trenchingandconduitinstallation;theabilitytosafelyoperateamini-excavator,forklift,andskidsteer;demonstratedcapabilitytodirecttheeffortsof2–4crewmembers;andthecapacitytoprocurematerials,rentequipment,tracklaborhours,andcompletedailyreports.Thepositionrequiressomeonewithanoutstandingworkethic,acommitmenttomanagingasafeworkenvironmentfortheirteam,goodinterpersonalandsupervisoryskills,andtheabilitytoplanandexecutequalitywork.

TheSuperintendentreportsdirectlytotheGeneralSuperintendent.

Duties:

• Mustbeabletoworkindependentlywithlittlesupervisionandremotesupport,andtobeapositiverepresentativetoclientsforPerimeterSecurityPartners.
• Directlysupervise,train,monitorattendance,andassigntaskstoinstallationcrewandensuretheprojectiskeptonschedule.
• Monitorworkersinconstructionmethods,equipmentoperation,safetyprocedures,andcompanypolicies.
• CoordinatecloselywithPSP’sGeneralSuperintendent,PSPProjectManagers,Clientsiterepresentatives,andotherpersonneltosafelyconductassignedworkwhileminimizingoperationalimpacts.
• Createthe3-weeklook-aheadscheduleanddeliverweeklyupdatestotheProjectManager.
• Overseeworkplansandteamactivitiestoensurecompliancewithapplicabledesignandcontractdocuments,safetycriteria,andcompanypolicy.
• Conductdaily“toolboxtalks”whichaddressapplicablesafetytopics,emphasizesafeuseofalltoolsandequipment,andenforcetheproperuseofPPE.
• Recordandreportsafetyincidents/accidents.
• Readandinterpretconstructionspecifications,drawings,andotherdocumentstoverifyrequirements,identifyworkareas,layoutequipmentandmaterial,andexecuterequiredtasks.
• Locate,measure,andmarksitelocationsforequipmentfoundations,posts,andotherstructures,usingbestpracticestoprotectandavoidexistingutilities,structures,vegetation,andotherobstructions.
• ClearlycommunicatewithProjectManagers,Clientrepresentatives,subcontractors,andotherstakeholderstocoordinateworkandverifysatisfactorycompletionofallrequirements.
• Developmaterial/equipmentlistsandworkloadestimatesfornewinstallationsandtocorrectdeficiencies.
• Ensureallconstructionequipmentisbeingproperlymaintainedandinspectedperiodicallywhileonsite.
• Ensuretheprojectsiteiscleanandsafeatalltimes.
• Providedailyreportsonequipmentcondition,workperformed,andupcomingplans.
• AssisttheProjectManagerwithroutinecommunication,includinge-mailandtelephoniccontactwithvendors,subcontractors,andcustomers.
• Draftandorganizedailyelectronicdocumentationfollowingeachinstallationorrepairvisit,includingcompilingreceiptsandprocessingexpenses,obtainingClientapprovalsignature(s)onpunchlistitems,updatingas-builtdrawings,andpreparingotherclose-outdocuments.

Requirements,Skills,andQualifications:

• HighSchoolDiplomaisrequired.
• Bachelor’sdegreeinengineering,constructionmanagement,orarelatedfieldispreferred.
• Minimumofthreeyearsofexperienceasaconstructionsupervisor/foreman,orsuperintendentisrequired.
• Minimumoffiveyearsofexperiencewithexcavation,theplacementofreinforcedconcrete,and/ortheinstallationofindustrialfencing.
• Demonstratedabilitytoreceive,understand,andimplementdetailedconstructionrequirements,projectplans,andconstructionprocesseswithoutadditionalsupervision.
• Abilitytoreadandunderstandconstructiondrawingsandinstallationdetails.
• MustpossessavalidREALIDdriver’slicense.
• MustbeabletoworkintheUnitedStateswithoutsponsorship.
• Mustbeabletopassabackgroundcheckanddrugtesttopermitaccesstomilitaryinstallationsandsimilarcontrolledareas.
• Highlydesireexpertiseandknowledgeinoperatingheavyequipment(mini-excavator,backhoe,frontendloader,skidsteer,forklift,lull,manlift,etc.).

PhysicalRequirements:

• Abilitytoworkoutdoorsinarangeoftemperatures,weather,andperiodsofdarkness.
• Abilitytostandforprolongedperiodsoftime.
• Abilitytoclimbaladder.
• Abilitytosafelyliftatleast50poundstowaistlevel.

AdditionalInformation:

• Recurringtravelforthree(3)tofour(4)weeksatatimeonnewinstallation/constructionprojectsatlocationsthroughouttheUS.(90%travel)
• Employeewillbeprovidedwithacompanycreditcardforapprovedexpenses(e.g.hotel,fuel,tools,andmaterials).Afixedperdiemtocovermealsandincidentalexpenseswillalsobeprovided.
