Job summary

Harris Computer in Las Vegas, NV offers a Project Manager Internship for Summer 2027, providing real-world exposure to the construction process. You will participate in pre-job activities, oversee on-site tasks, and assist with project closeout documentation under guidance from seasoned professionals.

The role requires current enrollment in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields, with strong math/analytical abilities and solid verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist pre-job activities: estimating, contracts, permits and insurance certificates.
• Support during construction: safety, purchasing, submittals, tracking materials and equipment, field personnel tracking, productivity tracking, change order submittals and tracking.
• Assist with project closeout: O&M manuals and as-recording drawings warranties.

Your role as a Project Manager Intern

Our mission is to provide college students with on the job experience and knowledge of the construction process. As a Project Manager intern you will be given hands on opportunities to turn classroom lessons into real life skills in the construction industry.

Pre-Job:

• Estimating
• Job contracts
• Permits and insurance certificates

During Construction:

• Safety
• Purchasing
• Submittals
• Tracking materials & equipment
• Field personal tracking
• Productivity tracking
• Change order submittals and tracking

Job Closeout:

• Project closeout O&M manuals
• As-recording drawings warranties

What we’re looking for in you

• Must be a current student working toward degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry and project management
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents
• Demonstrated proficiency of math and analytical skills
• Must have strong interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication while working in a team environment

Pay Range:

$19.42 - $29.14

The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors such as specific skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
