Job summary

Berglund Construction is seeking a Project Manager - Construction to lead commercial projects from pre-construction through closeout at our Westmont, IL office. You will manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relations to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, strong leadership, and proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam. OSHA knowledge and a client-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in project management software: Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from award through final completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance.
• Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Oversee project closeout, punch list completion, and warranty follow-up.
• Serve as primary point of contact for commercial clients.
• Identify opportunities for additional services or future projects.
